What’s new in Milan?

The much anticipated ADI Design Museum has opened in Milano with a complete and rich history of Italian design! This incredible new museum, within the Triennale, displays a beautiful repertoire of projects from the historical collection of the Compasso d’Oro award. Created in 1954 to promote the quality of Made in Italy design, today it is the oldest and most authoritative form of recognition within the industry worldwide.

The building housing the Museum is a historic site dating from the 1930s, initially used as a depot for horse-drawn trams and then as an electricity distribution station. In front of the entrance, you may cross the square, designed to create a social space. The surrounding area is one of the most creative of the vibrant city of Milan, featuring Milanese China Town, a lively multicultural centre, industrial archeology’s buildings, such as La fabbrica del Vapore, and lifestyle locations like Ceresio 7 with its marvelous rooftop café and restaurant. The Monumental Cemetery, an open-air museum of architecture and sculpture and the iconic Feltrinelli research centre designed by the world famous architect Herzog & De Meuron are just a few steps away.

Car lovers will be enchanted by the Fiat Cinquecento and the wonderful display of Ferrari sport cars.
