Milano Design Week
June 7 - June 12, 2022
Design and event lovers you should not miss Design Week! Prior to Covid the event took place in April at the beginning of spring, but last year it was held in September after the big summer break as a reduced program. We cannot wait for the next June edition!
Milano Fuori Salone 2019
The event happens simultaneously in two different places of the city.
It is held In northern Milan in the area of the Big Fair Building where business people from all countries meet at Fiera del Mobile to trade every type of furniture in one of the most famous appointments of the year in the furniture sector. This is where new trends, creative ideas and technical solutions for the most updated internal design appear to the public for the first time here.
The City Center of Milan, its courtyards and marvelous palaces open to the public for the Fuori Salone. Places usually private, are open for this very special and busy week. Inside historical frescos-painted rooms, guests may admire site-specific installations with a magical combination of ancient and new.
Milano Fuori Salone Palazzo Litta
The events are mainly located in the showrooms of the participating companies, which are scattered throughout the city. However, there are some districts of Milan that have taken on a leading role during the history of the Fuori Salone becoming true icons.
Over time, entire areas have been dedicated to temporary exhibitions during design week, often in former abandoned industrial areas. Companies take over for that period in order to create large points of interest, not only rich in exhibitions of the various products, but also for performances and works of various kinds.
On the streets, you’ll feel the exciting atmosphere of the international public, experts, designers, architects or simply curious people chatting about the latest trends.
During the last edition, the area beneath the depots of the big central train station are turned into an excellent location for light shows. Visitors may enter all of them, jumping from point to point, searching for the most exiting one.
